The 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN), held in Hanoi from January 12–16, 2026, features a series of major activities designed to strengthen digital cooperation across Southeast Asia and beyond.
ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting
The ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN) is ASEAN's highest-level cooperation mechanism in the field of digital technology. This mechanism was first established in 2001 under the name ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers' Meeting (TELMIN). In 2019, the forum was renamed the ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN), marking a shift from ICT development to promoting comprehensive digital transformation.
The first ADGMIN Conference took place in January 2020, and has since been held annually, rotating among member states. The conference plays a strategic role in guiding and implementing ASEAN's digital cooperation initiatives, while also strengthening connectivity between the region and dialogue partners and international organizations.
The sixth ADGMIN conference is themed "Adaptive ASEAN: From Connectivity to Connected Intelligence." This theme reflects ASEAN's digital cooperation direction in a new phase, as the region has achieved significant results in developing connectivity infrastructure and is moving into the next stage: data exploitation, AI development, emerging technologies, and intelligent systems. The conference is expected to bring together over 300 domestic and international delegates.
ASEAN Digital Senior Officials Meeting (ADGSOM)
This year, the ASEAN Digital Senior Officials Meeting took place on January 12th. Following this, on January 13th and 14th, several ASEAN Digital Senior Officials Meeting sessions were held with partners such as China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, India, the EU, Russia, and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunication Union (APT). The series of meetings aimed to strengthen international cooperation, share experiences, mobilize resources, and promote joint initiatives for the sustainable development of the ASEAN digital ecosystem.
ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2030 (ADM2030)
The ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2030 (ADM2030), expected to be adopted by the ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting on January 16th, aims to guide regional digital cooperation from 2026 to 2030.
ADM2030 aims to shift from a focus on connectivity and digitalization to a phase of intelligent digitalization, where data, AI, and emerging technologies play a key role. This plan is expected to contribute to enhancing the region's competitiveness, narrowing the development gap, and affirming ASEAN's role as a dynamic, innovative, and responsible digital community in the global digital economy.

ASEAN Digital Award 2026 (ADA)
The ASEAN Digital Award (ADA) is the largest and most prestigious award for digital software and technology solutions from ASEAN countries. The award has been held annually since 2012, with a selection process based on many rigorous criteria. Nominations are comprehensively evaluated on innovation, application effectiveness, and value to the community.
Beyond honoring organizations, businesses, and individuals shaping ASEAN's digital future, the award aims to inspire, foster cooperation, and accelerate digital transformation in the region.
Digital Technology Exhibition
In addition to the sessions and conferences, the event will feature a digital technology exhibition space showcasing typical products, solutions, and applications, reflecting the development trends of digital technology in ASEAN countries.
